Immersion Programmes

The Department of English at the University of Buea runs two immersion programmes. That of St Jerome University in Douala (which takes place in two sessions for a period of one month each) and that of the University of Yaounde 1 for students offering bilingual letters (which runs for three months).
  • The current guide (report brief) is meant to help students answer some basic questions
which may facilitate their immersion report writing.
  • These are just guidelines done by one of the lecturers in the immersion programme. If you are using this document as a guide but are supervised by a different lecturer who thinks otherwise, you have to take to your supervisor’s instructions.
  • You can also express any concerns to the coordinator of the programme in cases of doubts.
