| Les Brasseries Du Cameroun loses a truck of drinks on Tiko-Douala Road |
An accident has occurred on the Tiko-Douala Road. The accident
occurred today Monday 11 June 2018. The Les Brasseries Du Cameroun Truck(or
rather the truck carrying drinks for the Les Brasseries du Cameroun company)
was moving from Douala (in the Littoral Region) into the Southwest Region when
it somersaulted and fell into a nearby gutter. Crates of beer could be seen
scattered on the ground. It has not been established whether there was any loss
in human life however. It is surprising that the vehicle somersaulted on the
road given that the topography is flat.
Brasseries trucks have been targeted in recent months by Ambazonia
fighters in the agitated Anglophone regions of the country, but no official communication
has been established the cause of this recent accident.
At the time these images were taken at 10:30 am, a great crowd of
youths had gathered at the scene and young men and women could be scene
ravenously gathering bottles of beer. There was a continuous influx of bike
riders as well. In the hours ahead, it is hoped, the authorities in question
will reveal the cause of the accident and the extent of damage incurred.
